1. Dry clean : dry cleaning will remove stains and excess moisture from the fabric, preventing permanent damage like discoloration, mold or mildew.
2. Removing plastic/tags/colored paper: removing unnecessary tags and plastics will help avoid getting stains and lock in moisture.
3. Be neat: do not throw all the clothes in the bin. Color coordinate , roll (rolling each item prevents hard creases), leave some space to let the fabrics breathe.
4. Proper storage: when choosing boxes or bins, be sure to use non-toxic/acid free packaging.
5. Storage location: location is key! Make sure to place your items in a cool space, avoiding sunlight. Stay away from areas that are prone to building moisture.
