Once again I feel the need to post about this other company that has a name similar to ours. The last several days I have been getting calls from Massachussets people regarding appointments they think they have with us. We DO NOT SERVICE the Massachusettes area. Our company name is Great Bay Chimney Sweep DBA The Seacoast Sweep. Our trucks are lettered The Seacoast Sweep. All our paperwork says The Seacoast Sweep. We purchased the company from Phil MItchell when he retired in 2018, as Tom had worked with him for several years. We have the license to The Seacoast Sweep as well as Great Bay Chimney Sweep. Toms CSIA Certification number is #7260. Our phone number is 603-659-7776.
We do not put signs on the side of the road or telephone poles. From what their customers are telling me is they are taking deposits and not returning to do the work. They are also making appointments and not coming when scheduled, no call, no show. They apparently don't have their telephone number on any paperwork because people are googling us and thats why I am getting the calls. Before giving a deposit, please ask for a certificate of insurance.
We will not ask for a deposit and we do not accept credit cards. We have insurance and will gladly have our insurance company send you a certificate if you request it. We also do not advertise on any services, Home Again, Angies list, those are 2 that were mentioned that they got our name from, we don't use these services so they were not us.
Please do your homework and check out these companies on BBB or other places to be sure they are a real company before handing over your money.

Good morning! We have gotten a few calls from people using another company that has a similar name to ours. We are Great Bay Chimney Sweep DBA The Seacoast Sweep. We hold the license to the name The Seacoast Sweep as well as Great Bay Chimney Sweep. Tom Deem purchased the business in 2018 from Phil Mitchell, after working for Phil for many years. Phil retired.

There is just Tom and I here. I run the office and Tom does the rest. We do not install liners, we will refer you to another reputable company for that. We do not accept credit cards, or take deposits. We collect money for work provided at the time of service.

We do not put signs on the side of the road or on telephone poles. That is not us when you see those.

We are members of the BBB. If you have any doubts about the company you are dealing with you can reach out to them.

We are fully insured and licensed. We are registered with the state.

It is a busy time of year, so if you find a company that can get to you tomorrow, it may be a scam, please check out the company you are dealing with prior to making the appointment and prepaying for anything!!! We also do not make cold calls. I call my customers as a reminder call, but you will not get a random call from us.

Most of us are booked into December-January right now.
