Spot the difference. 👀

Left pane: cleaned. Right pane: exactly how we found it. That "SPARK" was written with a finger — no tool needed, that's how much film was on the glass.

Same chimney. Same week. 👀

Everything you see on the "before" side is organic growth — moss, algae, and years of airborne dirt that settled into the limestone. Homeowners usually assume the stone is just "that color." It almost never is.

This was a soft wash, not a pressure wash. High pressure on old limestone will strip the mortar right out of the joints. Low pressure plus the right cleaning solution does the work instead, and the stone stays intact.

Now is genuinely the right time to book this kind of work. Fall gives us mild temperatures, less UV baking the surfaces, and rinse water that doesn't evaporate before it does its job. It also means your house, driveway, and patio go into winter clean — organic growth that sits under snow all season comes back thicker in spring.

The homeowner was ready to replace this awning. Thought the burgundy had faded away. Nope — it was algae, and it came right off.

Key thing: this was soft washing, not pressure washing. A pressure washer on fabric like this will tear seams and blow out the waterproofing. Soft washing uses low pressure and a solution that actually kills the algae so it doesn't come back in a month.

If your awning, siding, or roof looks "faded," it's worth a second look before you spend money replacing it.

This rain has been a stress test for everyone's gutters. 🌧️

Here's what we keep finding: the gutter isn't broken. It's full.

When leaves, seed pods and shingle grit pack into a gutter, water can't reach the downspout. So it does the next best thing — over the front edge, down the fascia, and straight into the ground next to your foundation. Then you're looking at stained siding, rotted trim, and a wet basement.
