For those who don’t know me, my name is Hannah. I was with Jordan, the owner of Detail on the Move for over 5 years. I helped manage his page and messages. It is with deep sorrow to be making this post, but Jordan is no longer with us earth side. He passed away December 16, 2023. It wouldn’t feel right to not alert those that supported and encouraged him on this page, as this was his pride and joy. I wanted to talk about Jordan and share about him in hopes you will get a better idea of what type of person he was when it came to Detail on the Move.
From when I first met Jordan he would talk about wanting to start his own business. He didn’t know what, but he knew he always wanted to be his own boss and this was a huge goal of his. He thought and thought, what does this community need?? One thing about jordan, he loved his town and his community. He truly thought it was the best place to live. He loved being surrounded by the lakes and the close knit community he grew up with. People got to know him and he got to know them. He had decided there were no mobile detailing companies and we brainstormed names to eventually come up with Detail on the Move. I was sooo supportive of Jordan and this dream. He is so much more smarter at business stuff than me, he dealt with all the paper work and really got the ball rolling. He did it all. on. his. own! I remember when it became official and he got the letter in the mail with the okay we danced and celebrated. I watched him build this business from the ground up. He self taught himself detailing from hours upon hours of videos and research and perfected it. He was the most determined, hard working, diligent, perfectionist person I knew. He wanted to make sure everything he did was perfect. If it wasn’t up to his standards, he would tell you and try and make it right by going back again to make sure he was completely happy with it. He wanted to provide only the best and he delivered. I was and still am so proud of Jordan. Each year I watched it grow and grow and one van, turned to two vans and they got an amazing wrap job and he was so proud. We stood back and just admired them. What an awesome moment that was. He had so much to be proud of. When he was first starting out he did door hangers and went door to door around Lake Wawasee & surrounding lakes and towns getting the word out. He had yard signs he put out as well. I just had never seen someone so dedicated to himself and his future. He was the most hardworking human ever. He would detail from sun up to sun down in hot, humid midwest Indiana temperatures and even in the cold of winter if able. He would then come home to only have to continue working with getting back to phone calls, texts, emails, facebook messages, and making sure everything was scheduled and accurate. After that he had to do laundry and make sure he had clean towels washed for the next day and that all his supplies was ready. It was a lot for one person to do and manage. I would help as much as I could but I knew it took a toll on him, yet he kept pushing and kept going. This was his dream. He ultimately wanted to be financially free & be his own boss. We talked about the years to come with Detail on the Move; getting a building, expanding to other areas, hiring more people, etc. He always wanted to think of the next step and always had goals and dreams to reach and to work towards. I want to say thank you to Chase, Zach and Chandler for working for Jordan and being his best friends. When it got busy, he wouldn’t have been able to do it without you. He appreciated you all more than you know. You guys have so many good memories detailing together and so many goofy times. You all were always laughing and even if things got stressful, you were family at the end of the day. He loved you boys so so much. Thank you to all his clients, or friends. I don’t even want to say the word client, because you truly were his friends. He loved getting to know you all and make you happy and impressed with his work. He would talk to me so much about all of you. He thoroughly enjoyed building a relationship with you. He wouldn’t be able to do this without your support and love. Just know it means more than I can even describe. He truly appreciated you and you kept him going and gave him a purpose. I’m not 100% sure what the future of Detail on the Move will hold.. we have been discussing plans because we would hate to see what he has built up so much and brought him so much happiness come to an end completely. However, as of now, we have nothing set in stone or confirmed. Thank you again for allllll of the love and support you gave Jordan and his business. It is so hard to write and explain the feelings I have and am trying to portray about him. Please continue praying and thinking of Jordan’s family and loved ones as it is still so fresh and difficult. We will never let him or his impact die.
If you have any pictures, memories or anything happy to share regarding Jordan or Detail on the Move, please comment them! His family and I would love to see what happiness he brought you and see his hard work displayed. Thank you so much!
Detail on the Move, forever & always.
