Replace Existing Sewer Saddle and 5’ of Lateral 🤘🤘🤘

Damages caused by roots entering the joints in the existing Clay Pipe.

Basic Function:

The foreman’s role is to oversee overall ex*****on of sewer projects and jobs within the public right of way. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, safety focused, quality centric employee with a strong work ethic and a persevering, get-it-done attitude.

The position is for our Public Works Sewer Foreman. This is a full time position and has the direct responsibility for personnel, equipment, scheduling, safety and quality on each project. The Foreman will supervise and work alongside our sewer crews, performing administrative and supervisory work related to sewer and drainage lines.

Job Requirements:

• Experience as a foreman or assistant foreman (Preferred)

• 1 year of experience as a crew leader or in another supervisory capacity

• 2-4 years experience laying Pipe

• Experience with Sewer pipes is a MUST but all additional pipe experience is welcome.

• Knowledge of heavy equipment operations

• Able to manage, communicate and enforce production goals and schedules with crews

• Knowledgeable of OSHA Safety Regulations

• Must pass a drug screening

• Legally allowed to work in the US and have a valid Driver's license
Preferred

Education/Training/Certification:
• OSHA Training
• MSHA Part 46 Training
• First Aid / CPR

Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (Preferred)
Duties And Responsibilities:

• Providing oversight of sewer crew, contacting vendors, and work tickets.

• Ordering Supplies and Materials for the jobs

• Implementing solutions on jobs for installing sewer pipes.

• Installing and connecting sewer laterals up to city standards.
• Competent Person. Ensuring safety of the surrounding jobsite and crew members in the field at
all times.
• Working and corresponding with The City Inspectors or representatives in a professional manner.

• Time management

• Promoting and enforcing the company safety policies

• Understanding and following Traffic Control and Shoring Plans

• Prepares work reports

• Trains and instructs sewer team and labors

• Performs or assists in performing more difficult or skilled tasks

• Operate equipment on a relief or intermittent basis
Knowledge and Abilities:

• Represent the company in a positive, professional manner at all times, and in all interactions.

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Well organized, with an ability to prioritize activities and employ effective time management
principles.

• Ability to make sound, reasoned judgments and decisions under pressure.

• High level of initiative, self-discipline, and dependability

• Ability to give direction, adapt to change and assume responsibility for outcomes

• Knowledge of standard tools and practices used in general labor work; some knowledge of the
hazards in laboring work and of necessary safety precautions

• Ability to assign and supervise the work of others

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions

• Skill in the use of common hand tools
Physical Requirements:

• Reaching high and low, stooping, and bending continually

• Lifting/carrying/moving up to 100 pounds continually

• Able to travel per the company travel policy

• Able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy construction environment

• Able to work in all types of weather
Mental Requirements:

• Strong Problem-solving skills

• Rational decision making ability
