You may have noticed the lack of posting over the past months with Red Barn Quilting. It is with sadness that we let you know we have lost our leader, business partner and mom. We are still not taking customer quilts at this time, hoping things settle down and we adjust to a new normal. I felt the need to sew something this weekend and put on a quilt my niece did. Fun tips with this quilt... I had her starch all fabrics before cutting due to the bias edges and many seams involved. Starch has come a long way and I have been starching a lot of my fabrics lately. It does not attract insects like years before, it gives more stability with piecing and helps with cleaner intersections. It is a must when dealing with tiny pieces. That's my tip for the day. Happy sewing!
