👏 Great diagnostic work by our technician, Maranda!

This homeowner had recently replaced the flashing, but the chimney was still leaking. Maranda's inspection uncovered the true source of the problem - a heavily rusted chase cover.

A new custom chase cover solved the issue and helped protect the chimney from future water damage.

Sometimes the most important part of a repair is undoing the last one.

Last week, Maranda came across a chimney crown that had been coated with roofing tar. It may have seemed like a quick fix at the time, but roofing tar can trap moisture and eventually lead to more damage.

Despite the heat, she removed the old tar, properly resurfaced the mortar crown, and sealed it the right way. 💪
