We have earned loyal customers who expect and desire dependable, quality swimming pool solutions. We continue to grow and are seeking a solution-oriented and customer-focused Pool Maintenance and Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal person for this position will love to work outdoors. They will handle all matters with integrity, and will be a self-­ starter who has the ability to work independently with minimal oversight and guidance.

Responsibilities: Success in this position will be determined by the following measurable results:
Manage a route that includes equipment repair tasks or one-time pool cleaning for our Repair customers, as well as cleaning of commercial and residential swimming pools for our Weekly Maintenance customers as needed.

The ability to manage a stock of chemicals on the truck and properly adjust the water chemistry for each pool each week.

Repair of pool pumps, heaters, filters, timers, pool cleaners, blowers, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing.

Knowledge of 110 volt and 220 volt electrical equipment (preferred, not required)
The ability to manage an inventory of equipment on the truck and properly utilize and replenish the inventory when needed.
The ability to utilize a smart phone for our Pool mobile platform.

The ability to spot opportunities outside of the repair call, such as upgrading other equipment or adding to the customer experience with other products.

Renovation experience – Re-plaster or equivalent (e.g., PebbleTech®), Inground liner installation, tile replacement/repair, deck texture/seal, pavers install/repair (preferred, not required)

Requirements:
Requirements for this position are that you have:
2 years pool industry experience
a valid driver's license with a clean driving record;
no felony convictions
drug free
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Schedules, assigns, monitors, reviews and evaluates the work of assigned staff. Maintain the proper chemical balance and logs for the pool.

Swimming Pool Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

Diagnoses, repairs and maintains public swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps, and playground equipment.
Schedules, assigns, monitors, reviews and evaluates the work of assigned staff.
Maintain the proper chemical balance for the pool.
Maintains the pH and Chlorine values for good water quality.
Maintain the pool and all water features using proper chemicals and cleaners.
Maintain the pool pumps and filters.
Maintain the pool area including cleaning of the deck and other maintenance tasks.
Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
Repairs and maintains electrical and mechanical equipment.
Transports and stores hazardous chemicals.
Carrying out scheduled water cleaning, using chemicals like chlorine.
Regularly testing swimming pool water quality and pH balance.
Tests the chemical levels in public swimming pools and other water systems and adjusts as needed.
Maintains manual or automated records of all activities and prepares daily / weekly / monthly reports.
Picks up trash and cleans public swimming pools, restrooms and facility areas.
Operates and inspects tools and equipment and makes minor adjustments and repairs.
Operates vehicles to transport various types of materials and equipment.
Cleaning and servicing swimming pool filtration units.
Servicing heating, circulation and de-humidifier systems.
Fixing lights above and below water level.
Use swimming pool vacuum cleaners to clean the pool floor.
Checking and repairing corrosion, cracks and leaks in the pool walls or floors.
Use a telescopic pole with net to clean and remove any leaves or derbies.
Making sure equipment like pool covers, diving boards and slides are in good working order
Logging and reporting equipment faults or water quality problems to managers.
Qualifications and Skills

Must be efficient, organized, personable, poised and well groomed. Must have experience in pool, spa and fountain maintenance including chemical use, chemical level testing, pump, equipment maintenance, pool plumbing and all other related items. 1 to 2 Years work experience on similar role or ability to perform scope of work on hospitality environment. Must have clean driving record. May need to work on holidays and weekends.
