White Oak, Ocean Blue Travertine, and LED accent lighting define the staircase connecting the home’s levels. Cantilevered treads and frameless glass railings further enhance the sense of lightness and openness throughout the space. ‘Loose Leaves’ by Laura Vinci adorns the walls, and speaks again to lightness and ephemerality.

A combination of distinct materials, visionary artwork, and impeccable craftsmanship makes for a beautiful moment.

In the downstairs Powder Room of our Sovereign House Residence, we designed a custom vanity, which was milled by Natural Stones Home from a single piece of Brazilian “Oak Bamboo” quartzite slab. It perfectly complements the metallic stick mosaic wall tile from Chelsea Arts, which happened to be our first project purchase, well before any of the other materials were settled.

The hand-made mirror from Bower Studios and the Dornbracht plumbing fixtures customized by the one and only Michael Hodge from AF|NY might only be upstaged by the incredible craftsmanship of our builders, Aptel GC. Look at those curves!

This incredible space took an army, despite its small size, but it’s something we’re very proud of.

We crafted this space around the idea of functional luxury:

The soft, rounded corners of the island and cabinetry break up rigid lines, making the kitchen feel approachable and fluid. For the countertops, we selected leathered Taj Mahal Quartzite. While it feels smooth and organic underhand, Taj Mahal is one of the hardest natural stones available, standing up effortlessly to heat, stains, and heavy use.

We paired the stone with engineered laminate cabinets for maximum durability against fading and impact, then finished the space with warm, soft brass accents for a subtle glint of sophistication.

The Family “Room” in our Sovereign House Residence is the culmination of three open, but distinct spaces all in a row, all overlooking the incredible New York skyline views.

We combined two apartments on this level and always felt the open plan with uninterrupted light and views would be the strongest design.

It was also critical for this to be a supremely comfortable space while still looking terrific. That’s where Italian furniture excels - in this case, the Westside Sofa from Poliform and the Möbius Chair from Giorgetti were the perfect tandem and the Glenn Magnum mirror from Cattelan Italia keep the views going and going and going…
