Your kitchen sink works hard every single day… but when was the last time it was truly CLEAN?

Most people rinse it and move on. We bring it back to life.

We scrub away the hidden grime, lift stubborn stains, shine the stainless steel, and leave it looking fresh, polished, and ready for whatever your family throws at it next. Because a sparkling sink doesn’t just look better….it makes your entire kitchen feel cleaner.

It’s the little details that separate a quick wipe-down from a professional clean.

🩷 That’s the Lake Martin Maids LLC difference.

Before there was Lake Martin, there was Cherokee Bluffs.

This remarkable photo, taken on June 23, 1925, shows one of the mess halls in the construction camp where thousands of workers gathered for meals while building what would become Martin Dam. The image is labeled “New Mess Hall” and captures a small piece of a temporary city that forever changed Alabama.

At its peak, the City of Cherokee Bluffs was home to approximately 3,000 people and included 332 buildings, making it the largest community in the Tallapoosa Valley at the time. It wasn’t just a work camp. It had:
• Two mess halls
• A bakery and ice plant
• Commissary
• School
• Church
• Hospital
• Barber shop
• Shoe shop
• Recreation hall
• Housing for workers and their families

Everything needed to support the massive effort of building Martin Dam in one of the most remote places in Alabama.

The men and women who lived here weren’t just building a dam. They were building what would become Lake Martin, which, when completed in 1926, created the largest man-made lake in the world at that time and helped bring electricity to communities across Alabama.

As we celebrate 100 Years of Lake Martin, it’s incredible to remember that every cove we enjoy, every sunset we photograph, and every summer memory we make began with places like this humble mess hall.

A hundred years later, we’re still gathering around Lake Martin… just with a much better view. ❤️🚤

🚨 Unpopular Opinion…

A clean house isn’t about impressing guests.

It’s about walking through your own front door and feeling peace instead of stress.
