Knitwear needs more care than most people realize:

✔ Cashmere and wool — hand wash cold or dry clean. Never machine wash or tumble dry
✔ Lay flat to dry — hanging knitwear stretches it permanently out of shape
✔ Pilling is normal — use a fabric shaver, not scissors
✔ Store folded, not hanging — hanging distorts the shoulders over time
✔ At end of season, always clean before storing — moths are attracted to body oils in fabric
