A time for choosing
As I have been going through this time of turbulence the last few months I have noticed a change in how I am handling my faith. In prior seasons of turbulence, my faith was often shaky. Not wanting to, but still often looking to the people around me to help me get through.
Not this time. God has this under control! Sure, there are moments when I look around at the big picture and have a moment of panic, but His Spirit is always right there to gently remind me that I canāt see everything and I just need to trust Him. My job is to just remain in Him like a scared child needing to be Daddyās arms.
And as I draw into my Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior Jesus, things become simpler and clearer. This is what I want to share with you today.
The desire of my heart is to share the Truth of Godās Word and share His vision. This requires discovering the WHOLE counsel of God, starting at Genesis 1:1 and ending at Revelation 22:21. We canāt just camp in the New Testament and expect to truly see the magnificence of who YHWH is. We canāt forsake the reading of the Prophets including Revelation and expect to truly comprehend the goodness and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father.
A third of the written Word is prophetical and 80% is concerning Jesus coming the second time! First He came as the perfect Lamb. He came to die as Godās perfect sacrifice. The wages of sin is death, so a ransom had to be paid. Without knowing the writings of Moses - or the Torah - it is impossible to understand the depth of the meaning behind this. āIn fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.ā Hebrews⬠ā9ā¬:ā22⬠ā
Jesus is soon to return as the Lion of Judah! Our righteous conquering King! He will come to collect His Bride, the Church, and then wrath will come upon the earth like it never has before and never will again. The purpose of this time is to finally bring Israel back into relationship with YHWH through their acceptance of Messiah Jesus.
Again, without knowing the WHOLE counsel of God - His Word as one story - this will not make sense to you. Ashley preached on this about a month ago. If you havenāt heard her message, I recommend you go on YouTube and watch it: The Plan of Redemption; February 25, 2024 - I recommend the first service (more audience enthusiasm.) https://www.youtube.com/live/-nND_FWzGYQ?si=fIqq9LEvdhyhyyxB
As many of you know, my burden is for the Jewish people. They are Godās chosen nation; they are the ones who were mantled to bring Godās written revelation of Himself to the nations of the earth. Special promises were made to Abraham, the first one who can be considered a Jew after God called him out from his Gentile and pagan home. And these covenantal promises were given through Isaac and Jacob to Jacobās offspring. After God changed Jacobās name to Israel, his children - his 12 sons - became the Nation of Israel.
God is a promise keeper, not a promise breaker. His promise to Abraham still remains and will ultimately be fulfilled by way of the 70th and final week, or seven years, determined long ago for Israelās redemption and salvation as written by the prophet Daniel.
As we see the turmoil in the earth today, we see evidence that this is a setup for the last seven years. You see, Satan is trying with all his might to wipe every Hew off the face of the earth so he can call God a liar, so it is his kingdom weāre seeing be set up. The books of Daniel and Revelation provide the most (but not all) details of what will happen during this period of seven years, and we see every day the setup for the worldās systems foretold to be in play at that time.
Never before in history have all the pieces been in more perfect position and every day the fine-tuning is evident. Itās truly just a matter of time - and thereās not much left - before Jesus gathers His Church from the earth and the Lawless One is revealed. Then you will see a pouring out of repentance and belief among the Jewish people for their Messiah, Jesus Christ and then they will finally fulfill their mission to preach the Gospel to all the ends of the earth.
All of the signs that this time is just around the corner, Jesus describes during His āOlivet Discourseā as recorded in the synoptic Gospels of Matthew (ch. 24,) Mark (ch. 13,) and Luke (ch. 21.) One of the most poignant statements Jesus made was, āwhen you see these things beginning to take place, look up, as your redemption is drawing near.ā (Luke 21:28)
āBut if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.ā Joshua⬠ā24ā¬:ā15⬠ā
