The entire floor was covered in a think algae bloom beneath the liner turned out nice after the floor scrape.
Wall foam is always installed over wood walls to protect them.

Our weekend project. Complete floor scrape and wash down. Sometimes the algae beneath the liner gets really thick and very sticky. We are unable to pressure wash and it must be hand scraped. Ended up with approximately 30 pounds of algae. However the end result we are very pleased with.

On this liner we had to remove the ground water first. Normally we encircle the deep end of the pool with these well points to pull water out of the ground so we can safely drain the pool. This one worked out well with just two sides because the pool is only 5ft deep. The ground water was at 3.5ft. The new shimmertone liners cost more but they are really nice I must admit. The addition of gold in the liner pattern is pretty neat.

Sometimes the algae build up on the bottom of the liner is much worst than the top. However we do have a fix for that. Note: the bag of algae I pulled out of the bottom weighed approximately 100 lbs. pool turned out beautifully. Big thanks to 98 pools for the lead.
