Great Region 3 meeting tonight, our president, Bobby Yant, brought the meeting to order and led us in the pledge of allegiance then Mark Cavanaugh of Forshaw gave a talk on the ABCs of Spiders.

Yesterdays Region 3 MTPCA Spring School had a good turn out , a big thank you to our speakers, Jerry Seabolt from the Dept. Of Agriculture, Nick Iverson of BASF, Mark Cavanaugh of Forshaw, Dennis Waldrop of Oldham Chemical, Eric Ham go FMC and Madison Marstellar of Coreteva and Our Region 3 President, Blake Southerland for keeping the school going smoothly and Jacque Estes for manning the sign in, you are all great!

A great Region 3 Meeting tonight! The meeting was attended by 52 people. Our 2017-2018 president, Michael Clark, presented our 9th annual $1,000 Scholarship to Ms. Natalie Welch, grand daughter of long time Region 3 member, Dale Sheppard. Michael passed the gavel to incoming 2018-2019 president, Blake Southerland. Blake presented a plaque of appreciation to Michael Clark for his work with Region 3 this past year. Mark Cavanaugh of Forshaw gave a presentation on Mosquitoes .

The Region 3 meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 18 has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 25, 6 pm Ryan’s Grill Madison . Having issues with e mail so I have called companies that regularly attend, if e mail comes back will send out another notice.

Region 3 MTPCA Winter School held today attended by 124 people. Thanks to all our speakers: Jerry Seabolt of TN Dept of Agriculture, Nick Iverson of BASF, Eric Ham of FMC, Paul Strickland of BayerScientific, and Larry Stretz of Syngenta , thanks for your continued support and also to Region 3 President Michael Clark and Dennis Waldrop of Oldham Chemical for heading up the program. Special thanks to Tom Dixon and Jacque Estes for pitching in at the registration table.

2015-2016 Region 3 President, Michael Clark, presented the Region 3 Seventh Annual $1,000 scholarship check to the 2016 winner, Joseph Plummer. Joseph attends Southern Illinois University with studies in Architecture.

Michael Clark turned the presidential gavel to incoming 2016-2017 President, Patrick Smith

REGION 3 SPRING CERTIFICATION SCHOOL
Region 3 will be holding it's Spring Certification School on March 15, 2016 at Dave & Busters at Opry Mills, Nashville TN. 6 points in categories 7-8-10 & 12 for class time and 3 handouts that can be mailed in by April 30 for 1 point in all categories. We had a really good Region 3 TPCA meeting tonight with guest speaker Garrett Rae, Consultant Program Manager for Tennessee OSHA. He gave a very informative talk on required OSHA training using a guide that Johnnie Hunter and Tammy Briscoe of Ace Exterminating worked up and have generously handed out and given permission for us to put on our web site and use in training classes and is allowing any other company to do the same. We just ask you give them acknowledgement for their generosity and hard work. This is an exceptional training guide which can be easily adapted to your company, many thanks. We had 39 people attend the meeting tonight.

We also had 62 people attend our Spring Certification School on Tuesday Many thanks to Jim Orr of Univar, Drew Lockhart of Zoecon, David James of Forshaw and Dennis Waldrop of Oldham for conducting our training, we appreciate your support.
