It is with deep sadness that we share that Sharleen Johnson Bango of Tennessee Valley Exterminating Co., Inc. passed away on August 7, 2025. Sharleen was married to Joe Johnson, founder and previous owner of Tennessee Valley Exterminating Co., Inc.. Sharleen is survived by her son, Scott Johnson, and daughter, Rhonda Usry, both of Tennessee Valley Exterminating Co.,Inc.

3807 Dickerson Pike has been the home office of Tennessee Valley Exterminating Co., Inc. since the beginning. Joe Allen Johnson moved his family to Nashville, TN. after being transferred with Orkin. After relocating to Nashville Joe decided it was time to open his own business so he and his wife, Sharleen bought TN. Valley and the rest is history.

Now almost 40 years later thousands of customers have relied upon TN. Valley Exterminating Company to protect their home from pests and termites. In 1994 Joe passed away but the family continues to operate business daily maintaining the same core values Joe believed in which are Hard-working, passionate, thankful, accountable, authentic, trusting, respectful and courageous.

Tennessee Valley Exterminating Co., Inc. has invested thousands of hours on training and keeping our technicians up to date on all the newest methods of control and chemicals. Each technician is trained and certified. We make sure that our technicians KNOW THEIR STUFF.
