FWC just issued an executive order with hopes of killing more invasive iguanas during the upcoming cold snap. For Sunday and Monday mornings, you are now allowed to transport live, cold-stunned iguanas to one of five FWC offices statewide (one is in downtown Fort Myers). You normally need a permit to transport live iguanas. There is no change with the rule that you can humanely kill iguanas on your property. Iguanas are going to be dropping as we've rarely seen on Sunday and Monday morning. This is going to be a historic opportunity to reduce their population.
