Bed Bug Travel Prevention Checklist

🧳 BEFORE YOU TRAVEL

☐ Choose hard-sided luggage
☐ Pack light-colored clothing
☐ Bring sealable bags (Ziploc/compression)
☐ Pack a small flashlight
☐ Bring a luggage cover or trash bag
☐ Pack dryer-safe clothing when possible
☐ Avoid items that can’t be heat-treated

☐ Keep luggage in bathroom or entryway
☐ Inspect mattress seams & piping
☐ Check box spring edges
☐ Inspect headboard & bed frame joints
☐ Look for live bugs, black spots, stains, or shed skins
☐ If signs found, leave and request a non-adjacent room

☐ Keep clothes sealed when not worn
