Great investment in our Muscatine community! 💪🏼

$1.65 Million Raised to Expand MCC’s Industrial Tech Center

Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, community partners, and the State of Iowa, construction is officially underway on a major expansion of the Muscatine Community College Industrial Technology Center — and we couldn’t be more grateful. 🙌

This 5,360-square-foot addition means:
🔧 More welding booths to train more students
🛠️ A brand-new CNC Machining program—the first in Muscatine
🏫 Enhanced space for high school Career Academy programs

Special thanks to the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust, HNI Foundation, MCC Foundation, Midwest One, individual donors, and the State of Iowa CAIF Grant for making this possible.

This is more than a building—it's an investment in our students, local workforce, and the future of manufacturing in Muscatine.

Be prepared for snow!

Tonight, there is a chance for snow showers, but it is not the storm system; these snow showers will develop right ahead of the system. The first snow arrives between 9:00 pm and 1:00 am, which could lead to slick roads, but do not expect much out of tonight's snow. Here is the latest snowfall map for Wednesday; if you haven't seen my post regarding the change on the snowfall earlier this afternoon, I am expecting snowfall of 4-8 inches with localized higher anounts. The heaviest snow appears to be from southwest Iowa, west-central Iowa, central Iowa, and to eastern parts of Iowa and northwest Illinois. QPF has dropped in the last 12 hours, and the snow ratio goes from 17:1 to 21:1; this is where bigger flakes will produce, and in southeast Iowa, it's 15:1, so lighter snow is likely, but some moderate and heavy snow is still possible in southeast Iowa. The whole coverage area is in the 4-8 inches of snow, and locally higher amounts could be possible where the heaviest snow bands move through. Temperatures did not change a whole lot for tomorrow during the storm system.
