I had a hot water line freeze up this morning, Luckily I was able to thaw out the pipe and it did not crack the copper pipe.

So I did not leave the water, hot or cold, dripping last night in the house. I did leave both outside spigots dripping.. Was down to 7 degrees or so last night. Stupid I know. No hot water this morning. Hmmmm. Hooked water hose to hot water heater, opened drain and hot water came out. So that meant the inlet to water heater was not frozen. Put a big propane heater in the pantry with hot water heater, used a hair dryer to blow hot air into wall. After about 45 minutes the hot water started flowing. No leaks found yet. I may have gotten lucky. When it warms up I expect a lot of water leaks. I have done restoration work for 17 years. If you have water leaking inside your house call me. I can suck up the water and dry it out with fans and dehumidifiers. 972-658-5580

It has been a busy month. The winter storms were bad. Lots of frozen and busted pipes. We were able to dry out multiple homes. Puting people's homes and lives back together after a flooded home is part of what we do.

If your home has been without power since Monday turn off the water at the street. Do not turn the water back until you have a plumber there. You WILL have broken pipes. You do not want to flood your home if you can prevent it.
