Do you find yourself with a maddening and near-constant itch at the back of your throat? Are your eyes, and nose watering as if you’ve watched a romcom that ended tragically? Or is it just the opposite? Your nose feels as though a foot of cotton has been shoved up your nostrils and your eyes are as dry as Melba toast that has fallen under the stove and left there for a month? Sure, it could be seasonal allergies. Or perhaps it is a build-up of dust, the enemy to domiciles, since humans decided living in caves and huts, was a good idea. Housekeeper for Hire can help you defend against this ancient and sneeze-inducing enemy of domestic bliss with the following actions.
1. Clutter. Dust loves clutter! Try not to allow books, magazines, papers, and such to build up in place. Move things around, dust can not build up when its favorite places to accumulate are frequently disturbed.
2. Vacuum often two, maybe three days a week. Once again this will keep dust from settling in. Oh, and don't forget to vacuum any stairs. Don’t forget that mopping and sweeping go hand in hand with vacuuming. You really can’t just do one without doing the other.
3. Do you have pets? Your fur baby’s hair and skin generate considerably dander and hair. If they go out, they bring the outside in. All of which equals dust, and lots of it. Keep your little fur babies groomed.
4. Believe it or not you and your fellow humans generate dust just as bad pets, maybe even worse. Think about all the places you go in a day. You’re bringing all that into your house. What’s that? You seldom leave home? Doesn’t matter. Just like our pets, we shed dead skin and hair. Our beds, and furniture are covered with these dead bits of us, and they become an ingredient that makes up dust.
5. Hey, take off your shoes! Shoes act as a barrier between us and the outside world. Think of all the surfaces you walk upon when you put them on. Dirt, excrement, bugs, pollen, bacteria, and more are trodden upon by shoes and remain trapped within their treads.
6. Clean your house at least once a week. The best cloth you can use to clean and dust with is a microfiber cloth. Their texture is perfect for collecting dust.
7. “But I'm too busy to do any of the above”! You may indeed be too busy to clean your home. But keep in mind dust doesn’t care, it just keeps building up day by day. What can you do to stave off dust’s encroachment? That’s where Housekeeper for Hire comes in. For a modest fee our cleaners will come in and mop, vacuum, wipe down surfaces, and more! So, stop wiping at your eyes, and give us a call, or just message us online. We're here to help!
