To all our friends and loyal customers.... we appreciate your patience during this time of great loss for so many of us in our community. We are trying to answer most calls. We appreciate all of you~ please be kind to each other and to our dispatch team as we try to get to you for your service needs. We also suffered significant damage to our property on Ridge Road. Our beloved home of 115 years is ok, but our gas meters were crushed and along with signficant damage to heritage trees and many other trees on our land that have been a part of the Feikema family for many many years.
Please reach out if you have a service need -- There are many things we can do --
1) if your sump pump needs replacing we will try to get to you as soon as possible but know that if you do not have a source of power (generator or electricity) a new sump pump or battery backup will not help you. All batteries for pumps on battery back up systems only last 24-48 hours and must be recharged just like your phone!
We have sump pumps in stock and we were having difficulty getting battery backups from our normal suppliers but hope that will change after today. It can be unnerving to think you are relying on this little pump to save your basement from flooding but if its on, its doing its job!
2) We can still do roddings, but power is necessary to adequately service you. Draintile roddings will not be effective if you do not have a working sump pump. If your sump pump is working but the water is not draining AND you have a source for electricity we CAN rod your drain tile.
3) Please be patient with our staff. We are all trying our best and don't want your basement to flood either! We will try to take appointments for non emergency services as soon as possible.
