Better late than never! Streaky floors will always be an issue if you have a home with kids, animals, or husband's 🤷‍♀️ the best way to combat it is to hire someone who can figure the issue out for you!

They don't stay this age forever, so I will always feel blessed cleaning up after my kiddos. They are happy, healthy, and safe and I am so thankful to be Mama ❤️

For those who didn't know, I had a surgery over the summer, and have spent most of it healing (which isn't that exciting when you really, really like being active in the summer!) I had my follow up yesterday and I was approved to start working SLOWLY (he emphasized the word multiple times in the appointment lol) in 2 weeks! Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Hey Everyone!! Hope your summer has been full of fun! I've decided to make some posts sharing my favorite products, and the first one is Odoban. I have 2 "favorite" cleaners and this is one of them. Its uses are endless! Depending on how you dilute it (I buy it by the gallon, the cheapest place for me is Home Depot) it can be used in kitchens, bathrooms, floors, laundry, and as a fabric freshener. If you have a home with animals, I highly recommend it.

I like to keep things simple with cleaning products (which might seem contradicting if you've seen my cleaning caddy lol) as much as I can. You don't need a million different types of cleaning products to keep your home clean, but you do need this one!

It's almost been a month and haven't posted anything, but this is definitely busy season for my little family! I've made videos of areas of my home I've neglected and corrected, but have no patience to sit down and edit, especially when the weather is nice!

For me it's the laundry room because I know most of the lint will be back within 2 loads of laundry

Least favorite appliance is fridge interior, especially if something spilled in the freezer because of how tedious it can be.

Today started off wonderful! Finished work, and planned on coming home and doing a cleaning video. Well, life decided to happen for our house today. The toddler decided he wasn't going to nap, and when he finally did get there, I started to organize the space under the stairs (to store all my equipment and products) and found water 😫 so that was emptied out with a fan on the floor to dry it up, and spilled the cats water in the process....sigh...nothing was going right for me! Hubby is busy in the field planting so knowing where it came from exactly will have to wait until he gets home 🤷‍♀️ I still chose to do my video!

The 3 busiest areas in our home are the kitchen, bathroom, and entryway. The cleanliness in those 3 areas are more important to me than any other room, and how often they should be cleaned is different but the process should always be the same: top down cleaning.

Now, I didn't need to worry about cobwebs, so "top" for me was the coat racks, and door frames. Work top down and it makes the job easier! I learned this from a lot of cleaning professionals and never applied it at home, but always do it with my clients, and now I do it at home 😂

Did I organize ALL the shoes? Nope. I don't have proper storage or space for the amount of shoes my family has and so even if I attempted I would feel frustrated or overwhelmed when that storage is full and I still have piles of shoes, so I don't bother with that in my home. If you have a spouse, children, or pets the best way to deal with a mess in a house is radical acceptance 😂 Do what works for you and your space!! And if someone comes in your home and judges you on your mess, stop inviting them 😉

I realize that I have not introduced myself! My name is Charlotte Hooge and I am new to owning a business, but definitely not new to cleaning! I've been a stay-at-home mother for the past 3 years, and spent much of my time learning how to correctly care for my home (I even had a monthly housekeeper!)

I've been married to my husband, David, for a little over 3 years. We have 2 boys, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 bird (so I have LOTS of practice cleaning 😂) David is a farmer, and a 2nd Lieutenant in the National Guard, so when I'm not cleaning houses I'm doing what I can to help out of the farm (which usually is delivering meals and boring book work).

I enjoy going to hot yoga classes, spending summers at the lake when I can, watching my kids grow, playing fetch with the dogs, taking in the occasional farmers market/rummage sale, and belting it out at karaoke in the basement when family comes to visit.

Having someone you don't know come into your home and trust that they do a good job can make anyone anxious, I completely understand! I'd just like to let my current clients (and future clients) know that I am insured, and I will do my research if I am unsure about products/surfaces before I attempt to clean it! I understand how important your house is to you and will respect your living space!

I'd like to thank everyone for the interest, I am at my max for clients! I do have a cancelation list that you can be placed on, and these cleanings would be short notice and available at random. If you'd like to be placed on the list please reach out. I can come and do a consult so I can become familiar with the house and the type of cleaning that you're looking for, but cannot guarantee availability (but you never know!)

Working on my cleaning efficiency and product testing (on my own home of course!)

This would be considered a detailed cleaning with speciality cleaning (detailed cleaning of the inside of the oven/microwave, cook top, and exterior and interior of the cabinets).... well....I took the video before I did the outside of the fridge and the floors 😂 I'm an amazing housekeeper, but a terrible videographer!

Since the cabinets are painted, any multi-purpose cleaner works. I felt nostalgic so I used Lemon Pine-Sol. I use an array of different cleaning products for my clients and what meets their needs. Having an understanding of the products and what they should be used on is half of being a good housekeeper, efficiency is the other half.

I decided to spend an hour and use my steamer to see how clean I could get my sliding door.

With dogs, cats, kids, and a farmer husband ....and rainy weather that brings LOTS of mud....oh my goodness, did I need much more than an hour! 😬 The house was built in 1985 and I dont think the track had ever been cleaned out, but WOW! What a great job steamers do!

I do not offer this special cleaning for my clients yet, however, once I do learn how to do jobs the more efficient way, I do make them available.

Will be finishing this up tomorrow (if i don't find another random project) and also power spraying the deck AND painting the dog house. I am so excited for warm weather busy work!
