North Sound Sewer Scope Video sewer drain line inspections

2 larger issues in just 2 days, a collapse, you can see it at 60 feet! This can and often does occur over time with older sewer lines(cast iron, concrete, clay), although we have encountered drastic failures in modern plastic too. This was an holder home in town that had copper inside the footprint then concrete. This will require digging and trenching the yard and part of the sidewalk to replace this line, a liner won't work on a concrete collapse.

Thankfully the client got a scope before owning it. This property was vacant but they would have a family of 4 living in it, so lots of water and debris running down the line, would not take long to back up.

Clients will say well the drains are plastic! They should be fine. Not always the case. Here we have a modern ABS line that had a failure at one of the PVC couplings (they are spaced about every 10 feet). Root ball so dense we could not push through. You can see though that like a river water has made a path. Change in occupancy and this would back up quickly!

We don't see many large offsets in a ABS/Plastic drain line often, but this one captured yesterday gave us pause! Needless to say client is glad they had the scope. Line is broke and leaking into yard. Water flowed through as did solids but this would have only gotten worse. Give us a call 1-833-647-2673! www.northsoundsewerscope.com

We ALWAYS recommend you get a scope new, old or in-between. Remember the owner almost always owns all the line out to the tap. Here was stop at a little over 50 feet on a turn of the century home as we found a collapse, this will be a costly repair. Additionaly this line has been repaired more than once and those repairs are also seperating. Give us a call to scope your drain line, water will often flow fine, but a change in occupancy leads to back-ups. 1-833-64-SCOPE. http://www.northsoundsewerscope.com

Older homes often have issues. This was a older home in Sedro Woolley that we found had partial collapses in the cast iron at around 60 feet and a large collapse on one side after a root intrusion at 9 minutes in around 86 feet. We could not get by it to even find the tap. Long pipe the potential owner would have had back up and been a costly repair. We found similar issues on this same street earlier in the week too! Give us a call 1-833-64-SCOPE.

People ask if you need the line scoped on a septic (on-site sewer) system. The answer is yes! These still have the undergound lines out to the tank, and we find issues with these too. Crushed pipe, tank settlment, cracked pipes etc. are all things we see. Almost near the end of the pipe we see the last 6 feet to the tank have been partly crushed (oblong pipe) and root intrusion on the right side. Repairs needed by septic contractor. Some recent finds from a 1922 home in Bellingham. Concrete line after it left the foundation and a fairly long run for in town at almost 100 feet to the tap. Found offsets (common clay and concrete) and nice root growth in multiple areas, one was vertical! This pipe also had improper slope most of the way holding water. http:www.northsoundsewerscope.com 1-833-6457-2673. Give us a call, we can take a look.

Here we have another great example. Water will and did flow fine under this large 80% grease blockage, owner would have had issues backing up in no time. Previously cleaned but not good enough, get a scope today! Line was over 100 feet to city. 1-833-64SCOPE

Nice clean line thought we were in the clear until about 100 feet almost complete block with TP and wipes, Water flows easily through some blockages but when you begin to use the house again, it will back up. Give us a call 1-833-647-2673 or visit our site at http://www.northsoundsewer.com

We inspected a turn of the century rambler. Camera went in an exterior cleanout and quickly encoutered issues with the older clay line. We had to turn off the camera to push through debris. Get your line inspected this will likely need to be dug up and replaced. Give us a call 1-866-64-SCOPE.

We see many folks buying wipes and paper towels with toliet paper being in short supply. PLEASE DON'T FLUSH PAPER TOWELS. They are not made to break down like TP and will bunch up and clog your lines. A minor offset could become a backup quickly. Wipes are also not made for flushing, even though they may say "flushable". Plumbers don't like them other than it gives them something to repair.

Have a slow drain, or backup, give us a call for a video inspection. 1-866-64-SCOPE.
