Just because the holidays are almost here, doesn’t mean that cleaning your home has to be overwhelming 🙏🏡

✅ Start early to reduce stress! Identify your needs and create checklists accordingly.

✅ Clean higher surfaces first, so you don’t clean the same thing twice.

✅ Having a small caddy or apron with your cleaning tools accessible saves time & prevents unnecessary trips back and forth.

✅ Cleaning overlooked areas reduces dirt, debris & bacteria!

With the right strategy and techniques, you can make the process faster and more effective while ensuring no spots are overlooked ✨

Stay tuned for our next blog for more pre-holiday cleaning tips!

The best thing I ever did for my home and health was to investigate the meaning and impacts of “fragrance.” 🤔

Regulatory bodies in the US are not reliable at keeping us safe; it’s important to do your own research and purchase from reputable, trusted companies.

The type of fragrance used creates lasting impacts; fragrance oftentimes has Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) that have been linked to endocrine disruption, allergies and even cancer. 😯

These chemicals don’t disappear when you wash them off; they enter our waterways, affecting our ecosystem and wildlife. Some chemicals take up to 28 days to decompose, some as many as 60 days, or some not at all.

When you work with Dee’s Green Cleaning, you can breathe a sigh of relief 💚

We use high-quality, reputable companies when creating or choosing our cleaning products to ensure the safety of your health, home and planet.🌍

We cannot thank our volunteers enough for joining in our Detroit River Community Cleanup + Yoga! ✨🙏

Together, we removed 138.67 POUNDS of trash from our local parks & waterways 🌳🐦🌊

Litter can contaminate and harm wildlife, and it's also pretty unsightly which makes it important to put trash in its place. 🚮

Events like this truly take a village and we have many, many thanks to:

Liz DeFour, owner of Full Lotus Yoga for guiding us in a wonderful yoga practice before the cleanup 🙌☮️

Coriander Kitchen and Farm for the awesome yoga space, complimentary beverages for volunteers, and hosting us for a fabulous post-cleanup lunch 😋🍴

The Cleanup Club for providing some cleanup materials & overall inspiration 🩷

Detroit Bird Alliance & The Detroit Parks Coalition for for their support and efforts to maintain the park.

Jordan Seelinger for capturing so many amazing moments of this event and creating this fun reel! 📸

That’s a wrap for 2026 cleanups, we can’t wait to see what next year has in store! 🌎💚

Celebrate sustainably this Halloween ✨

👻Utilize the items you already have at home for endless creation! Got a sheet? Now you’re a ghost - boo!

🎃Instead of tossing your pumpkin in the trash, bake the seeds & compost the rest. No compost? No worries. You can break apart larger items & put them out in your backyard for wildlife to enjoy.

🕸️ Skip the fake spider webs! Fake webs are made of non-biodegradable synthetic materials like plastic that trap wildlife, create microplastic pollution, and linger in ecosystems for years. Opt for natural decorations like pumpkins & gourds instead.
