As I was talking to a customer, about starting a new pest control service for the company I worked for, she gave me the idea to go into business for myself. I knew my sister had just bought a one gallon sprayer at a garage sale for $8.00. That is when my idea starting taking shape. I borrowed my sisters $8.00 sprayer the next day, and started walking through the neighborhoods, door to door. My off

ice consisted of one desk on the back porch of my house! Of course, I couldn’t do termite work yet; I couldn’t afford the equipment! This was my business for about 3 years…until I realized, looking through the local newspaper, that there were no ads for termite treatments. I thought, I will put an ad in, and see what happens. I put an ad in the Peoria Journal Star, on the local page, that ran for one day. My ad offered a full Termite treatment, with a one year renewable guarantee, for $150.00. I received 87 calls for termite treatments the first day! NO TRUCK, NO EQUIPMENT!!! I was a little nervous……
That same day, I bought a 57′ Ford pick-up truck, and drove to St. I bought the equipment and chemical that night. From that day on, my business has flourished. We now consist of 3 generations(my son, daughter and 3 grandchildren) with over 4000 annual termite renewals, 500 monthly and quarterly accounts. We do approximately 200 real estate inspections a month, and on average 150 termite treatments a year. I am hoping for a 4th and 5th generation to carry on as well…….

Think foam insulation stops termites? Think again… 👀

These photos are a perfect example of what termites are REALLY capable of.

That “mud tube” you’re seeing? That’s basically a protected highway. Termites build these tunnels out of dirt, saliva, and… honestly whatever they can grab. And here’s the crazy part:

➡️ They don’t need solid ground.
They can literally BRIDGE through open air to reach wood.

➡️ Foam insulation doesn’t stop them.
They’ll go right behind it, through it, or around it without thinking twice.

➡️ Outside walls aren’t safe either.
We see termites tunneling up block foundations ALL the time—weather? doesn’t matter.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

Researchers are reporting the discovery of a new species of flying spider that may soon begin appearing across parts of the Midwest.

Scientists are calling it the “Flying Wolf Spider.” According to early reports, the spider has developed small wing structures that allow it to glide or fly short distances of up to half a mile. Experts believe the mutation may have developed due to environmental changes and could explain an increase in unusual spider sightings this spring.

Entomologists say the species still has the typical eight legs of a wolf spider, but now includes two wing structures, allowing it to travel between trees, rooftops, and homes more easily than traditional spiders.

Officials say research is ongoing, but residents are advised to remain aware of increased spider activity this season.
