🥳Kronenwetter is number 4!!
On January 29, 2026, SafeWise released their 12th annual Safest Cities Report, and the Village of Kronenwetter landed at number four. This is four standings higher than last year’s number eight ranking.
“I am very excited to once again see the Village of Kronenwetter listed as one of the safest cities in Wisconsin,” said Kronenwetter Police Chief Terry McHugh. “I think being the fourth safest city in the entire state is an outstanding accomplishment by everyone, from our citizens to our elected officials. What I find most noteworthy is the fact that year after year, we’re continually ranked as one of the safest cities. This ranking reinforces our belief that Kronenwetter is a premier place to safely raise your family and grow your business.”
SafeWise based their rankings on violent crime and property crime rates. On a three-year average, Kronenwetter boasts a violent crime rate of 0.7 incidents per 1000 people and an average property crime rate of 2.6 incidents per 1000 people. Kronenwetter’s violent crime rate decreased by 0.3 from last year’s numbers. Kronenwetter was one of only two municipalities that saw year-over-year decreases in violent crime.
