Officially introducing our foster puppy Penny! 🩷
We think Penny is around 7 months old and she came to us from Central VA Friends of Petersburg Animal Care and Control . We don’t know everything she’s been through, but we do know that the world has been a scary place for her.

Since arriving with us, she’s been learning that maybe the world isn’t so scary after all… that people can be good, kind, and loving, and that she’s safe enough to let her guard down.

Penny is seriously an angel puppy! She’s:
✨ Housebroken
✨ Crate trained
✨ Super smart (she already knows sit!)
✨ A BIG fan of other dogs!

In fact, Penny needs a home with another confident, friendly dog who can help show her the ropes, build her confidence, and teach her that life can be fun! Having a canine companion to learn from would make such a difference for this girl. 🐶💗

She doesn’t need someone to expect her to be brave overnight. She needs someone patient, kind, and willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to blossom. She looks to her human + dog companions for guidance and reassurance.

And because every girl deserves to feel extra special in her new home, Pretties + Papers will gift Penny’s adopter a YEAR of pet accessories! 🎀🐾 Her new family will have plenty of time to spoil her with some goodies while she settles into her happily-ever-after. 💕

Some dogs just need a little extra help discovering how good life can be. We have a feeling that once Penny feels safe and loved, she’s going to be something pretty special. 🥰
