Hello Farmhouse sewing family I'm getting into my leather sewing season and hope to do it full-time. My question for you is. I'm looking for any leather that is no longer used, it can be cowboy boots a leather jacket and even horse tack. Thanks and help me with my leather shop name.

Well I went and looked at a retail space in Litchfield today and it was better than I expected. It had enough room for a long arm for quilting and room for my leather work. But I have to justify the $2000 a month. Thanks for letting me vent.

Hello Farmhouse sewing family I bought this chair a few days ago and have identified it so far as Campeche and or a Butaca lounge chair. So far I have not found any makers marks or labels. From my research this type of chair originally came from Mexico hence the name Campeche. But they were also made in the states down south as a reproduction and possibly an Italian version. I plan on reupholstering it in full leather. But first I want to make sure I'm not going to mess up on the true worth of this lounge. Thanks in advance for any input.

Hello all spring is here and the shop is getting busy. I have two vintage patio umbrellas in the shop for recovering. I already started breaking the original covers down but I thought about a video to share how I bring back the original covers together. I try to reproduce the original sequence for the best end result. Stay tuned for some clips from my phone. Yes my phone some day I will get a little more modern. Dream on.
