Facilities and Account Manager
Job description
Facilities and Account Managers need to be talented in many different areas. They must be able to work well with others, possess strong time management skills, provide relentlessly high levels of customer service, and be able to make and/or coordinate small repairs on the fly. Account Managers will provide much more than day-to-day operational excellence; they will also be responsible for managing employees, customer relations, overseeing openings and closings of pools, and scheduling inspections/repairs.
Applicants must know how to swim. This is a 3/4 position and not full time.
Customer Service – This is the most important aspect of the position. Duties will always encompass a customer service element, and your quality of service is a direct reflection on the company. Emails and phone calls must be returned within 24 hours – more quickly during the “pool season.”
Overseeing Pool Operations – This includes conducting service visits, chemically balancing the pool, cleaning of the entire facility, maintaining functionality of the circulation system, managing and scheduling employees, and all other aspects of operating the facilities. Consistently updating and staying in touch with property managers is an integral part of the Account Manager role.
Opening and Closing of the Pool Facilities – Including scheduling opening crews, conducting pre-season inspections, cleaning furniture, coordinating repairs, closing down the facility for the winter, scheduling and performing winter service visits, etc.
Staff Supervision – The Account Managers will schedule or perform all of the service visits required by their pools (summer and winter). Account Managers must coordinate all in-season service visits for non-staffed pools as well as operational oversight visits for staffed pools. The Account Manager will also be asked to oversee Service Technicians and lifeguards, measuring performance and performing routine staff inspections at all pools. Training and providing feedback to staff is an important part of an Account Manager’s job.
Repair and Maintenance – Will range from making minor repairs to assisting with, coordinating, and overseeing both minor and major swimming pool renovations. Account Managers will not be responsible for performing repairs that they are not comfortable with, but Account Managers are expected to continuously communicate with both the repair department and the customer.
Compensation: $18-$20/hr, plus an additional bonus if earned, which will be performance based. (negotiable based on experience, salary is reviewed annually)
Paid Vacation Days Begin to accumulate after six months of employment.
