The weather has been perfect for clearing your yard of all the winter debris and preparing your space for spring/summer.
Here are a few tips:

1. Check with your local area to see if they offer a cleanup day. Many places will haul away brush and leaves for free or a minimal fee.
2. While you have them on the phone, ask if they offer free or low-cost mulch. Due to recycling the above debris, many places offer the mulch for free or heavily discounted.
3. Rake flower beds and prune away any old foliage.
4. Edge around your foundation and slope any drainage away from your foundation.
5. For easy maintenance, plant groundcover that spread and require little to no maintenance.
6. Do your homework! Be sure to not plant evasive groundcover. Mint is great for a small area, but it will take over. Ask me how I know. 😊

The biggest benefit? Getting outside boosts your vitamin D and your mood. Get outside and enjoy!!

Are you looking to change up your holiday meal with a new side dish? Look no further! Here's a delicious gamechanger. Baked pineapple, a favorite partner with ham.

▢One 20-ounce can of crushed pineapple including juice
▢¾ cup granulated sugar
▢2 large eggs
▢2 tablespoons cornstarch
▢2 teaspoons vanilla extract
▢1 ½ tablespoons butter divided into small pats
▢1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
Oven Preparation: Commence by preheating your oven to a temperature of 350 degrees. Grease to a 9×9 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.

Combine Ingredients: In a substantial mixing bowl, amalgamate the crushed pineapple (with its juice), granulated sugar, eggs, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Stir these components vigorously until the mixture is homogeneous and smooth.

Assemble in Pan: Transfer the pineapple mixture into the previously greased baking pan. Evenly distribute the small pats of butter across the surface of the mixture, then sprinkle with ground cinnamon to enhance flavor.

Baking: Place the prepared pan in the preheated oven. Allow to bake for 45 minutes, or until the perimeter of the mixture begins to exhibit a golden hue, indicating that it is thoroughly cooked and caramelized.
