🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨

I would like to address something about Montgomery Washateria and Wash N Fold’s future before rumors start FLYING in the coming months as all of the other stores around us will close.

Yes, our city block was bought this last year and they will not be renewing anyone’s leases here. With that being said, we are extremely fortunate, as we had two years left on our lease at the time. Meaning….we are here to stay to serve the great folks of Montgomery and beyond until atleast May of 2027.

No, we don’t currently have any huge plans in the works at this time, but that doesn’t mean that can’t change. As currently my husbands been home on medical leave for the last few months and we’ve got six tiny mouths to feed in the meantime, that’s been our main focus.

Montgomery Washateria has been in my family since 2004, and I’ve operated it myself since 2016!! It’s been an absolute blessing meeting everyone I have, these last 10 years and we plan to continue to provide the same great service to this great community atleast until May of 2027!!!

With that all being said I hope you stop in and take a load off whether you do it yourself or we do it for you!!!

Thankful for this organization and this group of guys. They are asking for monetary donations above all else, you can also follow Brian Xnberry as he sends updates quite often. If you aren’t in a place to donate, please just pray for these men and woman who are sifting through the aftermath!! Heroes for Humanity

Since they arrived on July 5, a day after the catastrophic and historic flooding that overwhelmed parts of the Texas Hill Country, Heroes for Humanity has assisted in the recovery of 17 people.👏

The organization plans to be in Kerr County for as long as it takes.

After 20 years of our family owning the Washateria, we had our first dryer fire tonight. With that being said, we will have the door propped open during business hours to help air some of the smell out. Thankfully it was isolated to the single dryer! Now I’m gonna take a minute to give some friendly reminders when using our facility!!

-Please always check your pockets before washing/drying. Our large dryers get torn up by all the decking screws and pens that get stuck in the holes, but they are unfortunately leaning towards a vape/lighter that may have exploded in the dryer for tonight fire.

-Please do not overload the dryers or washers for that matter. We have 3 different size dryers, to accommodate different sized loads. This particular dryer had twice as much laundry in it than it should’ve had in it, these white stack dryers are single 12 lb load dryers. (This basket pictured could easily hold 30+ lbs of clothing).

-Our dryers are set to full cycle dry, meaning the price on them (if the correct amount of clothing is in there) will dry them. These white dryers dry for 45 minutes with no extra quarters added to it. This should dry your clothes without the need for more time. We have some people that come in and max out the time so that they have time to go somewhere and not come back until later. That is a fire hazard by itself!!!

-Our facility is unmanned, although it is deep cleaned daily. There is an extra large trash can in the back and we can only keep it as clean as you LEAVE it!!!

Side note: the lint traps are actually seriously cleaned on a regular basis to help prevent things like this. Thank God it truly wasn’t worse!!!! If these were your clothes, we have them in the back office since you left while the fire department was here putting out the fire and assessing the situation.

We are excited to be partnering with Hope's Bridge for this toy drive!!! Together we can help make some local foster kiddos Christmas a little more bright!!!

The Wash N Fold will have a drop box until December 19th!!! If you feel led to donate, during Wash N Fold’s business hours, we are looking for brand new, unwrapped toys!!

These foster families will get to pick out toys for their kids and then they will have a gift wrapping station set up, so that the parents can then leave with a wrapped gift to put straight under their tree!! How cool is that!!! 🩷🩷

Also, Mrs. Julie shared with me that they are ALWAYS in need of twin sized mattresses, larger sized diapers (3,4 & 5’s), teen boy clothing, and full sized hygiene products!! If you ever want to donate items, you are welcome to drop them at the Wash N Fold and we will get it to them!!

🤯 Just a friendly reminder 🫣

This facility is open to our entire community and not following simple instructions (like putting powder soaps in the drum and not the drawer) or washing items you would never think twice about washing in your own washer (if it was big enough) and clogging our machines. It not only ruins it for you but the next person that comes in and the next and so on!

Be mindful of others y’all, we can only keep it as clean as you leave it. If you have pets and your items are full of pet hair, shake the items out before you get here instead of shaking it out on our floor or let the machine do it and then leave the machine coated in hair. Y’all you would never leave your own washer in that state for you to wash the next load.

I hate posting common sense gross pictures but this is real and happens more often then you think. We do our best to keep it clean and all the machine running correctly, but we can only do so much!!!

Laundromat has power as of 2pm, so it’s open!!
Wash N Fold will resume tomorrow 8am!

We are one of the ones without power today, we will update when we are back, up and running!!
