Cleaning with Lemon!

1. Use a half lemon and salt to clean even the most heavily discolored brass (real brass, not brass plated). Be careful with antiques. Always test a small spot before scrubbing away.

2. Use the same method for copper items, such as copper bottoms of pots.

3. Shine up your chrome faucets or the chrome on older model cars with lemon and salt.

4. Clean stains from cutting boards, and help kill germs as well. Rub the juice full strength onto the stain and let sit until the stain fades. Can be left overnight, then rinsed well and dried.

5. Use lemon juice and an old toothbrush to scrub grout.

The bathroom takes the number one spot but would probably be closely followed by the kitchen. Bathrooms tend to have lots of nooks and crannies and see lots of moisture. They are excellent breeding grounds for mold and mildew and all sorts of icky things. Toilets aren’t exactly easy to navigate around in order to sanitize all their surfaces.
With that being said, here’s how you tackle your bathroom.

1. Remove all items from their usual spot. For best results, do this step for the entire bathroom instead of as you go.
2. Dust and sweep.
3. Apply cleaner to shower and bathtub.
4. Tackle other surfaces.
5. Mix cleaning solution for floor.
6. Hit the shower and bathtub.
7. Finish the shower and bathtub.
8. Clean the vanity area.
9. Clean the toilet.
10. Mop the floor.
