🧼 JML Cleaning — Part-Time / On-Call Cleaning Position

JML Cleaning is currently accepting applications for a part-time, on-call cleaning position.
This is NOT a guaranteed full-time position. At this time, bookings will be offered on an occasional basis depending on our schedule and incoming work. However, as JML Cleaning continues to grow, our most reliable and hardworking employees will have the opportunity to be considered first when additional or more permanent positions become available.
🏠 What This Position Looks Like
When JML Cleaning’s regular schedule is full, additional bookings coming through our website or through companies we subcontract with may be offered to you.
You will be able to see the booking details before accepting, including the location, estimated cleaning time, and estimated pay. You are completely free to accept or decline a booking based on your availability.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make extra income occasionally without committing to a full-time schedule.
You may receive:
* 1 cleaning in a week
* Several cleanings in a week
* Or no bookings some weeks
We understand that you may have other jobs, school, family obligations, or other commitments, which is why we offer bookings on a flexible, accept-or-decline basis.
💰 Pay
Starting pay: $17/hour
We also guarantee a minimum of $50 per completed cleaning, regardless of how long the cleaning takes 1 hour-2 hours you are paid $50 per home minimum.
Each booking will have an estimated cleaning time and estimated pay listed before you accept it.
For example:
5-hour estimated cleaning × $17/hour = $85 estimated pay
If you finish the job in 3 hours, you are still eligible for the estimated 5-hour pay as long as the cleaning is completed properly and the customer leaves a 5-star review.
This means doing efficient, detailed work can allow your actual hourly average to be higher than $17/hour. We estimate the jobs accordingly, before booking -
All tips and any additional pay provided after the cleaning go directly to the worker who completed the cleaning.
JML Cleaning will pay you directly after the cleaning is completed.
🧽 Supplies & Cleaning Requirements
JML Cleaning can provide cleaning supplies when needed. Having some of your own supplies is always a plus!
Every cleaning must:
* Follow the required JML Cleaning checklist
* Be completed thoroughly and professionally
* Follow any specific instructions provided with the booking
* Include required before/after photos when requested
* Meet our quality standards
* Leave the customer satisfied with the service
📸 Photos & Accountability
After each cleaning, you will be required to provide after photos showing the completed work.
This allows us to maintain our quality standards and provide documentation for customers and our subcontracting partners.
🚗 Reliable Transportation REQUIRED
You must have reliable transportation.
JML Cleaning currently works with customers and companies throughout areas including Birmingham, Alabaster, Tuscaloosa, and surrounding areas, so cleaning locations can vary.
You will always be able to see the location before accepting a booking.
👤 Working Independently
You must be comfortable working alone on some cleaning jobs.
Not every booking will have another JML Cleaning employee present, so being dependable, responsible, and able to complete a job independently is extremely important.
⚠️ Subcontracted Cleaning Jobs
Some of our bookings come through companies that JML Cleaning has partnered or subcontracted with.
When completing these jobs, you are representing JML Cleaning, and you must follow all rules, policies, instructions, and requirements provided by that company.
Failure to follow their requirements could result in them terminating our partnership — and could also result in you no longer being offered work through JML Cleaning.
Professionalism, reliability, communication, and attention to detail are extremely important.

Again, this is an occasional/on-call position, so the number of bookings will vary. You may receive 1 booking one week and several the next. You are always able to accept or decline based on your availability.
We are accepting applications from multiple people so we can keep bookings flexible while having reliable cleaners available when work comes in.
