Epoxy Brush Coating is a process in which sewer and drain pipes are thoroughly cleaned and coated in a (100% solids) epoxy resin. The chemical is safe to drink from and can be used on both sewer lines and water mains. The chemical compound seals cracks, separations, leaks, and prevents corrosion. The epoxy resin’s anti-corrosive properties can extend the life expectancy of some pipes by as much as 50 years. The 2-part compound is backed by a 10-year manufacturing warranty. The application process does not entail any digging, excavation, or construction. The epoxy resin can take anywhere from as little as 1 hour to as much as 4 hours to fully solidify and cure. The resin is applied in layered coats. Each layered coat is approximately 1 millimeter thick. Each project is usually 3 coats thick.
