Our latest step in the renovation process is a brand new, modern, and easy to clean Bathroom!! We are doing our best to make your visit to Smith Mountain Laundromat as clean and comfortable as possible!

We've added a Courtesy Station! Find a mess? Make a mess? Our most commonly suggestion was customers asking for towels to clean up after themselves, or if someone else happens to leave a mess behind. We are happy to provide complimentary cleaning towels and cleaner to help keep your experience cleaner at SMLaundromat!

Its' crazy how much clothing gets left behind, and even thrown away, and was not uncommon to come in and find our trashcans filled with perfectly good clothing. Sooo we started a donation bin a while back and its AMAZING how much clothing people donate. We have been collecting for Lake Christian Ministries, but we get a lot of clothing!! If other local charities could use clothing donations please let us know! We have plenty to go around. ** Side note, we do keep found clothing for a week before donating it, so if you lost something please reach out.**

*NERD ALERT* Cleanliness is EVERYTHING when it comes to gas dryers. Their operation is similar to that of a car engine, they need air, fuel, and spark. Along with that, cleanliness is the key to efficiency. Dryers pull air from every single nook and cranny, and with air comes lint, lint becomes felt, and before you know it you can starve your dryers of air... creating inefficient fuel burn. Here is an example of the difference in the colors of the flame just from cleaning and allowing the dryer to breathe easier. Yellow, tall flames are a sign of inefficiency. Proper maintenance and keeping a close eye on the daily operation makes them more reliable to the customer... and that's what its alllllll about.
