Brrrrr... It's cold outside compared to last week. Please make sure to take time to locate your water shutoff valve during this time of year and seal up any cracks and crevices that may leak outside air. It does not take to much cold air to cause a pipe to break and cause major damage in your home. Happy New Year everyone. Influenza A seems to be making its rounds. That is the messy version. If that happens her are some steps you can take to protect your carpets and fabric.

1. Scoop up everything you can that is solid first
2. Wet the area with cool water and utilize an enzyme product to digest the contamination and lightly agitate.
3. Use a towel to soak up as much as possible. Rinse and repeat with cold water.

Stomach flu contains acids that could permanently discolor the fibers and made need professional attention.

We are receiving a lot of calls for ice dams on the roof. Preventative maintenance would raking the first 36 to 48 inches of snow off the roof.
