This October, Dakota Cleanout is teaming up with a few local businesses to put together Project Fresh Start — an opportunity to help one local person or household who could genuinely use a hand getting their space back.

We’re still working out the final details and getting everything lined up, so this isn’t the full announcement just yet.

For now, we just wanted to give you guys a little preview of what’s coming.

Another garage cleanout in Minot, ND knocked out. 💪

We cleared out the furniture, boxes, bags, and other unwanted items taking up space and got this garage opened back up again.

The best part — a lot of the furniture was still in good shape, so instead of sending everything straight to the landfill, we’ll be able to donate and give some of it a second life.

For everyone new here, this is the story behind Dakota Cleanout.

A couple years ago, my life looked completely different.

Addiction. Loss. Rebuilding from the ground up.

Somewhere in the middle of rebuilding myself, I decided to build something of my own too.

Dakota Cleanout started with small junk jobs, U-Hauls, borrowed equipment, and a whole lot of figuring it out as I went.

Since then, it’s grown into full property cleanouts, interior demo, community projects, and something that means a hell of a lot more to me than just hauling junk.

When you hire Dakota Cleanout, you’re not just hiring someone to remove stuff.

You’re getting your time back.
Your space back.
And one less thing to worry about.

My past gave me every reason to quit.

Instead, I decided to build.

🚨 DAKOTA CLEANOUT IS HIRING 🚨

👷 THE ROLE
We’re looking to add a part-time/on-call crew member here in Minot, with the opportunity to grow into a crew-lead position as Dakota Cleanout continues to grow.

🛠️ THE WORK
We handle junk removal, property cleanouts, interior/light demolition, yard debris, commercial work, and more. It’s physical work, it gets dirty, and some days are harder than others.

💪 WHAT MATTERS
Experience is not required. Reliability, work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn matter more than having a perfect résumé.

♻️ SECOND CHANCES
Second-chance applicants are encouraged to apply. Recovering addicts, people with criminal records, or anyone genuinely working to rebuild their life will not automatically be counted out here.

I was given another chance myself, and I believe the right person deserves an opportunity to prove what they can do.

🚗 DRIVER’S LICENSE
A driver’s license is preferred, but not necessarily required to start for the right person.

📈 GROWTH OPPORTUNITY
This position will start part-time/on-call with paid trial shifts, with more hours, responsibility, and leadership opportunities available to the people who earn them.

Five months into building Dakota Cleanout, and honestly, it already feels like I’ve lived five years.

We’ve gone from small pickups and rented trailers to full property cleanouts, same-day jobs, bigger opportunities, and stepping into interior demo work.

Some days it feels like everything is taking off. Other days I’m wondering where the next job is coming from.

Still learning. Still making mistakes. Still building.
