We are searching for a Pest Control Technician to join our team here at Milford Exterminating Services, Inc. Pest Technicians serve in a key front-line role and are the very heart of what we do. It's all about providing outstanding service to valued customers. Equipped with a company vehicle and excellent industry training, we offer great benefits, necessary tools to complete your job and a great work environment. Our ideal candidate will help to expand our route volume by offering our services to new customers or existing customers.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Applying pesticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions

- Responding on a timely basis to customer requests for telephone and in-person service calls.

- Identifying and acting upon opportunities to sell additional products or services. (opportunity for commission, but optional)

- Setting up your vehicle each day and driving it safely to each stop

- Outstanding customer service!!

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Massachusetts Pesticide Certification/License (Preferred)

- Prior Industry Experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

- Must be able to provide quality service on a timely basis to all customers on route

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to solve customer service problems

- Valid Driver’s License

- Must be comfortable with exposure to all weather elements

We understand that everyone is very concerned about safety and taking precautions to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. The Coronavirus is taking its toll on our country but vermin still post a risk to public health and here at Milford Exterminating we will continue to provide support to our customers throughout this time.

The staff at Milford Exterminating Services, Inc. are committed to taking the necessary steps so that we can provide ours services in a safe manner during this situation. We would like for our customers to be aware of the following:

1. We have taken steps to educate our technicians on what they can do as individuals to avoid contracting the virus.

2. We are committed to maintaining a clean and disinfected work space at our office and warehouse location.

3. All of our technicians are issued Half Face respirators as part of their personal protective equipment. Our technicians are required to use the respirators for certain types of treatments and when working in confined spaces. Due to concerns about the virus spread, our technicians will use the respirators when conducting inspections and performing treatments inside the customer residence. We feel that using the respirator can protect the home owner, their home, and our technician.

4. Our technicians also use 6mm protective rubber work gloves that are changed before each appointment. These gloves should limit any issues arising from hand contact from one of our technicians.

5. Many of our services that we offer to protect your house from various pests involve treating the outside of the home around the perimeter of the house and in the yard. Please ask one of our customer service representatives about options to treat on the outside of your home.

Good article about bed bugs. Bed bugs unfortunately are always in season.

Find and correctly identify an infestation early before it becomes widespread. Look for rusty or reddish stains and pinpoint dark spots on bed sheets or mattresses, and search for bugs near the piping, seams and tags of the mattress and box spring.

Ok everyone. We have an update to all of the calls we have been receiving. Yesterday, we received reports from a multitude of residents voicing concern about an object seen in the sky that is causing them to crave margaritas. These reports have continued today. The investigation has been turned over to the Detectives and we have a conclusion... it is the sun. After hours of investigation and assistance from multiple agencies, the sun has been deemed not an immediate threat, so no further action will be taken on our part. We appreciate everyone's concern, so you can all leave your basements, remove your tin foil hats, and enjoy the nice weather. Thank you.
