Big Changes at Atomic Autoworks Garage — And Some Great News!

We've been quiet for a little while, but there's been a LOT happening behind the scenes at Atomic Autoworks Garage!

After years of operating out of multiple buildings and storage containers, I've decided to simplify the business, bring everything together, and get back to what I love most: personally building and working on custom vehicles.

And som**hing unexpected happened along the way...

Many of my longtime high-end customers started returning after hearing that I'm personally handling their vehicles and overseeing the projects again. That's been one of the most encouraging parts of this transition.

The garage is an absolute disaster right now, and I'll admit I've been putting off filming because I didn't want everyone seeing it this way.

But real life is real life!

In this video, I'm sharing what's been happening, why we've been away, and what you can expect as we rebuild and reorganize.

We're also bringing more hands-on automotive fabrication, custom upholstery, bomber-style bucket seat builds, motorcycle seat manufacturing, and other projects to the channel. Some of the products we create will be available for purchase through our other websites.

And most importantly, THANK YOU to everyone who has supported and watched our recent videos. It means a great deal to me.

We're getting back to filming this week, and I'm excited about where we're headed!

CLASSIC CAR OWNERS! YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS!

We're talking , COMPLETE PROFESSIONAL PAINT JOBS FOR JUST $6,500! Body Work Included

I honestly don't know how they're pulling this off in 2026. With the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and everything else involved in producing a quality paint job today, it's almost impossible to believe anyone can deliver this level of workmanship at that price.

But apparently, these guys have figured som**hing out that the rest of the industry hasn't!

If you're thinking about restoring your classic car, muscle car, or vintage truck, you definitely need to take a look.

INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN AUTOMOTIVE UPHOLSTERY?

We're changing the way we introduce people to the trade!

After years of sharing our knowledge through upholstery classes, Atomic Autoworks Garage has decided to discontinue our traditional classes and offer som**hing a little more personal.

We're now offering one-on-one Automotive Upholstery Career Q&A Sessions! In our Middlefield CT Location at DSD Motorsports & Resto Mod Garage.

If you've ever thought about learning automotive upholstery, working with your hands, or building a career in the custom automotive industry, this is an opportunity to sit down with an experienced professional and learn what the trade is really all about.

We'll discuss:

What automotive upholstery professionals actually do

The tools, equipment, materials, and skills involved

The different career opportunities within the industry

Realistic expectations, earning potential, and career development

What it takes to learn the trade and become proficient

And, of course, answer your personal questions!

And here's the exciting part!

If you discover that automotive upholstery is som**hing you'd genuinely enjoy pursuing, we can also discuss potential job placement opportunities within the industry, based on availability, qualifications, and employer needs.

With experienced tradespeople becoming harder to find, we believe introducing the next generation to skilled craftsmanship is more important than ever.

We're not promising an overnight career or pretending this trade is easy. It takes patience, dedication, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn.

But for the right person, it can be an incredibly rewarding profession.

No large classrooms. No sales pitch. Just an honest, personal conversation about the trade and your future.

Interested? Send Atomic Autoworks Garage a private message with (UPHOLSTERY CAREER) to learn more.

Let's keep craftsmanship alive and help the next generation discover what working with their hands can become.

Atomic Autoworks Is Changing—and It Started With These Red Bucket Seats

While finishing this sold pair of red standard-pleat low-back bucket seats for one very patient customer, som**hing finally clicked.

For more than eight years, I have taught classes and created videos showing people how to complete automotive and motorcycle upholstery work. I’m proud of that history, and those videos are not going anywhere.

But there is now more how-to content available than ever before. The next chapter of Atomic Autoworks needs to be about using more than 30 years of experience to create—not simply explaining every individual step.

We will still show you the materials we use, the decisions we make, the problems we encounter and what professional work really requires. But the focus is changing to original builds, new products, customer projects and the honest process of growing our companies.

In this video, I also take you behind the scenes of the premium packaging we are developing for Stitch Freak, Atomic Cycle Works and Eddie Barrett. I explain why I decided against simply outsourcing generic leather goods and why our future products need to carry our own automotive- and motorcycle-inspired identity.

I’m not leaving the trades, and Atomic Autoworks isn’t going anywhere.

We are building the version of Atomic that I always wanted it to become.

Watch the video and tell me: What would you like to see us create next?

We Built One Pair—When These Custom Seats Sell, They’re Gone

One pair. First come, first served. Once they sell, they’re gone.

In this video, Eddie Barrett builds a limited pair of low-back bomber-style bucket seats using Stitch Freak’s Vintage Toffee material with full diamond stitching.

You’ll see the pattern work, foam shaping, sewing and upholstery process inside our real Connecticut shop.

These seats had to be completed quickly, and unfortunately we missed filming the final stage of the build. Eddie explains what happened at the end and shows the completed pair.

This video also introduces a major change for Stitch Freak Interiors.

Moving forward, we will concentrate on completed, in-stock products instead of unlimited made-to-order production. We’ll build distinctive seats and interior components, showcase them through Atomic Autoworks Garage and offer them for sale in limited quantities.

Atomic members will receive the first opportunity to purchase qualifying one-off products. If an item remains after the members-first period, it will be released for public purchase through:

https://www.stitchfreak.com

Once this pair sells, it is gone.

Would you rather buy a finished custom product you can receive quickly—or order your exact design and wait longer to have it made?
