✨ CELEBRATING FIVE YEARS OF SUNSHINE ✨

Five years ago, Sunshine Cleaning of Delaware was nothing more than a dream in my heart.
A vision to help families create clean, relaxing spaces, give people back precious time with their loved ones, and make a difference in our community.
That desire became a reality on my Mom and Dad's living room floor.
This photo captures a moment that changed my life forever. My mom snapped it as we were literally creating Sunshine Cleaning's email address for the very first time. Years later, she had it framed for me.
At that moment, we had no idea what God had in store.
As I think back on these past five years, I realize there are so many people who have helped make this journey possible.
While my family played a huge role in helping me get started, there have also been countless mentors, friends, fellow business owners, and supporters who have generously shared their wisdom, answered my endless questions, encouraged me through challenges, and helped me grow both personally and professionally.
My sister and her husband were visiting from Tampa, Florida, when Sunshine Cleaning was born. My sister, an incredibly talented graphic designer who now serves as the Creative Director at Hope Children's Home in Florida, created my original website and helped bring the Sunshine Cleaning brand to life when I had absolutely no clue what I was doing!
My brother-in-law, Matt, who now serves as the Executive Director at Hope Children's Home in Florida, shared his business knowledge and helped me navigate what it meant to become a legitimate business in Delaware licensed, insured, and bonded. His guidance was invaluable, and I will always be grateful for the confidence, wisdom, and encouragement he provided as Sunshine Cleaning was taking its very first steps.
A special thank you to my dear friend, Melissa, a fellow cleaning business owner in our community, who has been an incredible mentor over the years. Thank you for always being willing to answer questions, share your knowledge, and encourage me along the way.
My husband and my parents never stopped encouraging me to move forward. They believed in me when all I had was an idea and a whole lot of faith.
What many people don't get to see is the story behind a small business. They see where you are today, but not the late nights, the uncertainty, the prayers, the learning curves, and the people who helped build the foundation.
Five years later, Sunshine Cleaning has grown into something I could have never imagined.
One of the greatest blessings of this journey has been working alongside my oldest daughter, MacKenzie, and watching her grow into a leader as we work side by side every day.
Over the last five years, we've had the incredible privilege of scheduling and completing more than 12,000 cleanings for amazing clients who have welcomed Sunshine Cleaning into their homes and businesses. Along the way, we've built meaningful relationships, celebrated milestones, shared life's ups and downs, and been trusted to care for the spaces that matter most.
Today, we have the incredible privilege of employing more than 20 amazing team members at Sunshine Cleaning.
What started as a one-woman operation has grown into a team of incredible individuals who share the same commitment to serving others.
To every member of the Sunshine family you are the true rock stars. You are the unspoken heroes behind every sparkling home, every happy client, and every success we've experienced. Your hard work, dedication, and passion for serving others have made Sunshine Cleaning what it is today.
Like any small business, we haven't been perfect. We've certainly made mistakes along the way and have faced our share of challenges while learning and growing. But one thing I know for sure is that our hearts have always been in the right place. We genuinely care about our clients, our employees, and our community. Through every decision we've made, our core values of Integrity, Excellence, and Community have remained at the center of who we are and continue to guide us every day.
My heart's desire remains exactly the same as it was five years ago: to help others by creating clean, relaxing spaces filled with care, kindness, and love while continuing to give back to the community that has supported us from the beginning.
Over the years, we've been blessed to sponsor local little league teams, donate cleanings to elderly and physically disabled individuals, provide cleanings for expecting mothers and families welcoming new babies, support local community initiatives through raffles and giveaways, partner with homeless shelters and organizations serving mothers and families in need, and contribute to many other causes close to our hearts. Giving back has always been part of who we are, and we look forward to continuing that mission for years to come.

What started as a simple idea on my parents' living room floor has grown into something far bigger than I ever imagined. None of it would have been possible without the amazing people who believed in me, supported us, worked alongside us, and trusted us with their homes and businesses.
