During the big snowstorm on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, this man stole from our vending machines and tried to break into anything he could. He appears to be a male, Caucasian, early 30s, wearing a black under armour baseball cap and a red blackhawks sweatshirt. He also had a piece of rollaway luggage with him. [Laundry Tip] When bits of cooked pork or bacon fall on your clothes, first blot any stains with a plain white paper towel, napkin, or white bread to absorb as much oil as possible.

Sprinkle cornstarch or talcum powder on the stain and then before washing, treat the stain with a dab of liquid detergent. Rub the fabric together with your fingers and then toss the garment in the wash after about 15 minutes. Wash as recommended on the care label using the hottest water suggested.

Have a party but not enough time to get to the dry cleaner? Try putting that sheer voile blouse, beaded top, fringed silk shawl, or lace trimmed dress in a cotton pillow case, knot it closed, and wash in cold water on regular cycle. Hard water can cause clothes to become dull or dingy after several washings. To solve this problem, add a couple of pinches of ordinary table salt to the washer with the detergent.
