If your allergies act up indoors every July, your house may be recirculating dust season.

Here is what happens: monsoon dust settles into vents, fan blades, blinds, and upholstery. Then the AC, running around the clock this time of year, keeps stirring it back into the air you breathe.

A few things that really help between cleanings:

Check your air filter monthly in the summer, not quarterly. Dust season fills them fast.

Wipe fan blades before you turn the fan on for the season, and again mid-summer.

Vacuum vent covers and cold-air returns when they start to look fuzzy.

Damp-dust blinds and windowsills weekly. Dry dusting just relocates it.

And when it is time for a deeper reset, that is exactly what a professional deep clean is for. The high, hidden, air-adjacent surfaces are the ones a quick weekly pass misses, and in July, they are the ones that matter most.

Settle a debate for us, Phoenix.

Monsoon season means everyone has that one spot where the dust always wins. The glass patio door. The ceiling fan you need a ladder for. The window track that fills back up the same afternoon you clean it.

What is yours? The spot you have quietly surrendered to until October. Drop it in the comments. We will share our favorite fix for the most-mentioned one this weekend.

Dust season is officially here, Phoenix. Here is where all that monsoon dust settles first, so you can stay ahead of it:

1. Window tracks and sills. Fine desert dust slips through even closed windows. A damp microfiber pass once a week keeps it from caking.

2. Ceiling fans. Running nonstop all summer, they collect dust on top of the blades and then rain it back down. Wipe them with a pillowcase so the dust falls in, not out.

3. Entryway floors. Everything that blows in gets tracked in. A washable mat inside and outside the door catches most of it.

4. Air vents and returns. If the vent covers look fuzzy, that dust is circulating. Vacuum the covers and check your filter monthly during monsoon season.

5. Baseboards. Dust drifts low and sticks. A quick pass with a dryer sheet actually slows it from coming back.

Which one of these gets away from you the fastest?

The parts of an office that affect how people feel are often the parts a quick clean skips.

A few that matter more than they get credit for:

Vents and air returns. Dust collects here and circulates into the air everyone breathes all day.

Shared keyboards, phones, and break room handles. Some of the highest-touch surfaces in any workplace, and some of the most overlooked.

Carpet, beyond a surface vacuum. Fibers hold dust, allergens, and whatever comes in on two hundred pairs of shoes.

The little corners. Under desks, behind doors, the edges where dust quietly settles.

None of this shows up in a glance around the room. But your team feels it, even when they cannot name it. A workplace that is clean underneath, not just on top, is one people are glad to walk into.

What would you add to this list?

We spent this week on one idea: a clean workplace is not something you buy once. It is a program you run.

Match the schedule to how each space is actually used. Give the high-touch spots daily care, the detail work its weekly pass, and the deep work its quarter. Hire a partner who runs that program instead of a vendor who waits for the complaint.

When it is set up right, the building stays healthy, your team feels the difference, and you get to stop thinking about it.

If you are an office or facilities team in Greater Phoenix rethinking how your space gets cared for, we would love to talk. You can see how we approach commercial cleaning at 360cleanit.com/commercial, or request a quote at 360cleanit.com/contact-get-a-quote.

Have a good weekend, everyone.

Quick one for the office managers and facilities teams out there.

Every workplace has that one spot that never seems to stay clean. The break room sink. The glass front door with a hundred fingerprints by noon. The carpet right inside the entrance. The conference room after back-to-back meetings.

Usually it is not a cleaning problem. It is a frequency problem. That spot is getting cleaned on the same schedule as everywhere else, when it needs its own.

So tell us: what is the one spot in your building that always seems to need attention? We read every reply, and we are glad to share how we would handle it.

Ever notice how an office can look fine and still not feel clean?

Usually it is because the cleaning runs on one rhythm, when different parts of the building need their own.

A simple way facilities teams think about it:

Daily: the high-touch, high-traffic spots. Door handles, light switches, restrooms, break room counters, shared desks, entry floors.

Weekly: the surfaces that build up slower. Interior glass, baseboards, under-desk areas, conference rooms, kitchen appliances.

Quarterly: the deep work most people forget. Vents and air returns, carpet extraction, hard-floor care, high dusting, behind and under the heavy furniture.

When all three run on the right schedule, the building does not just look clean on the surface. It stays healthy underneath.

Which of these gets skipped most often where you work?

07/03/2026

One idea ran through everything we shared this week: on a build, the final clean is not the last chore. It is what decides whether your walkthrough passes the first time.

A clean site is the baseline. The real product is a finish line you can put on the calendar, a space that is inspection-ready on the date you committed to, and a partner you do not have to manage to get there.

If you are a general contractor or builder in Greater Phoenix who wants the clean to be the one step you never have to chase, we would love to talk. You can see how we work at 360cleanit.com/post-construction or request a quote at 360cleanit.com/contact-get-a-quote.

Have a safe and restful Fourth of July weekend.
