Over the past several weeks as more information on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is being disseminated by the federal, state and local governments, there has been a push to classify industries as essential or non-essential. Those deemed as essential can continue to operate as more quarantines and restrictions are put in place.

The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) firmly believes that the importance of the pest control industry to the nation is an essential service that cannot be understated and must continue to provide the valuable services we offer during this pandemic.

Additionally, the pest control industry requires technicians to be trained, tested and certified in the use of personal protective equipment. Technicians routinely employ the use respirators, eye protection, gloves, and clothing to conform with safety requirements established by EPA and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration.

As part of an essential service industry, Zero Tolerance Pest Solutions will follow the guidelines of the NPMA and stand ready to continue our fight against pests and diseases.
