I worked on a sewing machine today that was not working properly. The owner could not remember if it had ever been serviced. The lack of lubrication cause the machine to work extra hard making the parts move resulting in a crushed gear. REMEMBER: lubricating a sewing machine is no different than making sure your car has oil.
