What spider do people fear the most? The BROWN RECLUSE. While they are definitely a cause for concern, you can relax a bit. To date, there have been no confirmed sightings of the Brown Recluse spider in Idaho. Does this mean we won't ever see them in Idaho? The answer is, no. They can catch a ride on trucks, shipments and other things coming into Idaho from South Central USA.

Most commonly found in Southwest Idaho are the Hobo Spider (pictured below), Wolf Spider, Black Widow Spider, and Jumping Spider - to name a few.

Things that can help reduce the number of spiders around the exterior of your home is to:

1) Keep vegetation trimmed and manicured 18" from the house.

2) Keep the clutter to a minimum and stored away from the house.

3) Receive regular preventative perimeter treatments provided by 208 Pest Solutions (the best preventative measure of all)!

We've all heard the saying " Goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite", right?

Well, the Summer months prompt a lot of traveling for many of us. Whether you are driving or flying to your destination you are not immune to them. They can be brought home from a hotel stay, a plane ride, a friend/family members home or even a cruise. They can also be introduced into your home by buying used furniture!

Bed bugs are about the size of an apple seed full grown. Eggs and 1st stage nymphs can be difficult to see with the naked eye. So if you think you may have them, DO NOT wait to get control of them. A single bed bug lays 200-250 eggs in a lifetime. Eggs hatch in 6-10 days and become an adult in about 6-7 weeks. The nymphs go through 5 stages before becoming an adult all while feeding (on you!) through each stage.
