Yesterday was something I hope none of us ever have to experience again.
Unfortunately, Burke Pest Away will be closed for the next few days. Like so many others in our community, my home was significantly affected by the tornado. Thankfully, Butter and I are both safe, and we’ve been able to get mostly moved somewhere temporary. Now the cleanup begins.
I’ll be back to serving my customers next week. Right now, I just need a few days to decompress, process everything, and start putting the pieces back together.
As someone who has lived in Menasha, opening my front door after the storm and seeing half of my neighbor’s home completely gone is something I’ll never forget. It’s heartbreaking, surreal, and a reminder of how quickly life can change.
I want to sincerely thank every single person who has reached out with a message, a phone call, or an offer to help. Your kindness has meant more than you know.
As a local business, my heart wants to jump in and help everyone immediately and we absolutely will in any way we can. But first, I have to make sure my own family and home are taken care of. Once we’re back on our feet, we’ll be there for our community however possible.

Menasha, we’ve got this. We’ll rebuild, we’ll support each other, and we’ll come back stronger than before.
