That is a deeply satisfying before-and-after. You can really see how the sealer on the left brings out those rich, warm tones and locks out the weather, while the cleaned chair on the right is perfectly prepped and ready for its turn.

If you are looking to get the absolute best finish out of the second chair, here are a few quick tips to keep in mind before you apply the sealer:

* **Ensure it's bone dry:** After cleaning, make sure the wood dries completely—usually 24 to 48 hours depending on the humidity. Sealing in moisture can lead to mildew later.
* **Give it a light sand:** If the cleaning raised the wood grain slightly or left it feeling a little rough, a quick pass with fine-grit sandpaper (around 220-grit) will make it buttery smooth before sealing.
* **Work in the shade:** Applying teak sealer in direct, hot sunlight can cause it to dry too fast and leave uneven streaks. Your covered patio area looks absolutely perfect for this.
