🧥 WHOA, MEADE… Y’ALL ARE GETTING A LITTLE WILD THIS YEAR! 😂❤️

First, THANK YOU to everyone supporting our 4th Annual Winter Coat Exchange! The generosity has been amazing!

But we need a little help keeping things under control! 😂

🧥 Donating coats? PLEASE use our laundry drop box so we can sort and organize them properly. No leaving coats on tables, doors, or racks.

🧥 Looking for a coat? You’re welcome to try them on, but please hang them back up if they don’t fit!

Remember, we’re a working laundromat, not a thrift store. Our space is limited, and we’re doing our best to keep this little community project going. ❤️

Any coats remaining on the first Friday of November will go to the Women’s Crisis Center in Dodge City.

Let’s keep the kindness going without turning the place upside down! 🤣

🧺 177 POUNDS OF LAUNDRY… AND THAT’S A WRAP! 💪😂

Savannah and I had our hands full today at 54 Suds!

177 pounds of laundry to wash, dry, fold, hang, and get out the door! And somewhere in between all that, we managed to get the place cleaned up, everything put away, and ready for the weekend!

Let’s just say we’ll be glad when Trinity gets back from vacation! 🤣❤️ We sure notice when one of our girls is missing!

And a little shout-out to Carrie! She’s finishing up her senior year and still finds time to lend us a hand. Those extra hands sure make a difference! ❤️

And a big thank-you to the boss for buying us lunch! Apparently, Tod figured 177 pounds of laundry deserved a little fuel to keep us going! 🤣❤️ Thanks, Tod!

🧥 Meanwhile, our Winter Coat Exchange is underway!

We know it’s still warm outside, but coats are already finding new homes. Something tells me once that Kansas weather changes, they’ll be flying off those racks!

We’re still accepting gently used coats, too!

🧥 COAT EXCHANGE UPDATE! 🧥

First, a little apology—we haven’t been keeping up with our 54 Suds posts quite like we normally do. We’ve been BUSY! 😅 But our Coat Exchange is officially underway!

We started putting coats out last Friday, and more coats are coming in every day. ❤️

The coats are available right in our lobby, and remember—54 Suds is open 24 hours, so stop in anytime and see if there’s something that fits you or someone in your family. No questions asked. Just take what you need.

And if you’re cleaning out closets and find a coat or jacket you no longer need, bring it our way. Someone else may be very grateful to have it this winter. 🧥❄️

Last year, around 250 jackets came through our Coat Exchange and found new homes! That still amazes us.

And nothing goes to waste. Any coats remaining after our exchange are donated to the Dodge City Crisis Center. A big thank-you to Kat Juel for helping us make sure our leftover coats continue on to people who can use them. ❤️

🚙💙 If you see the little blue 54 Suds van running around town… she’s probably got a FULL load! 😂

It’s easy to see the van driving by and not realize just how much laundry is tucked inside.

Pickup, wash, dry, fold, hang, package…and then it all gets loaded back up and headed home.

From everyday clothes and stacks of jeans to quilts, comforters and everything in between—we’re keeping those washers, dryers AND that little blue van busy. 🧺

Sometimes laundry comes through our front door…
and sometimes we come to yours. 💙

The racks are officially up and the coats are ready.

If you or someone you know needs a warm coat, stop by 54 Suds and take a look. We’ve got adult coats, work jackets, hoodies, and kids’ sizes mixed in too.

This is exactly why we do our 54 Suds Coat Exchange every year — neighbors helping neighbors stay warm. ❤️

And if you have a gently used coat at home that you no longer need, you can still bring it in and add it to the racks.

Take what you need. Leave what you can. Help us keep our community warm.

Big shout-out to my Back Porch Yogis ladies! Every one of you built on your strength through September, and I’ve sent out our October program. I’m so excited for what’s next! ❤️

We’ve finished our strength and conditioning deload, and Monday and Tuesday are yoga deload days. The ladies love them—and I have a little surprise challenge planned. 😉

This week’s class schedule:
🧘 Yoga: Monday and Tuesday at 5:30 PM
💪 Strength: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 10 AM

Wednesday’s strength class has moved to Tuesday for this week only because I have a doctor’s appointment. See you at Back Porch Yogis!

🍩 A LITTLE TREAT FOR THE BOSS 😂

Most days when Tod stops by 54 Suds, it’s because something needs fixed, checked, tightened, adjusted… you know the drill. 🔧🤣

But today I told him,
“Hey, if you get to come through town, swing by — I’ve got a treat for you.”

And for once, there was no repair waiting on him.

Just donuts. 🍩

He got to sit down, enjoy his treat, and of course Otis was right there making sure nothing went to waste. 🐶😂

Not every trip to 54 Suds has to come with a tool bag.

Sometimes the boss just gets a donut. 💙🧺

Help us wish one of our 54 Suds girls a very happy birthday today!

Savannah is one of those people we can throw just about anything at — routes, pressing, starching, laundry… and apparently now dog training too. 😂🐶

Otis has decided she’s part of his team, and judging by this picture, I think he’s pretty happy about it.

We’re lucky to have Savannah as part of the 54 Suds crew. She works hard, jumps in where she’s needed, and keeps rolling with whatever the day brings.

❤️ WELCOME TO THE CREW, TRINITY!

This one has a little extra meaning for me.

Trinity is Mary Kay Berghaus’s great-niece, and Mary Kay holds a pretty special place in my heart — and in the story behind 54 Suds.

Long before we owned a laundromat, I was Mary Kay’s nail tech. As she got older, laundry became one of those everyday tasks that was simply getting too hard, so I started helping her with it.

I didn’t know it at the time, but experiences like that helped shape what I wanted 54 Suds to be — a place where taking care of someone’s laundry can also mean taking care of people. ❤️

And now here comes Trinity — our hometown girl, back home again and part of our crew.

Talk about full circle. 🥹

Now, let me tell you a little about Trinity. She’s a perfectionist with an awesome eye for detail. She might study something for a minute because she wants to get it right, but once she locks in…

GET OUT OF HER WAY. 😂

She’s focused, eager to help, and that task is getting DONE.

We’re pretty darn happy to have this hometown girl back home and officially part of the 54 Suds crew. 🧺❤️
