The world talks about love in soft songs, sweet words, and passing feelings. It tells us love is a spark, a rush, a moment of happiness. It says, “Follow your heart,” even when the heart is restless and changing.
But God defines love differently—because He *is* love.
His love is not a fleeting emotion or a convenient choice. It is steady, patient, and sacrificial. It stays when things are hard. It gives when it would be easier to hold back. It forgives, serves, and endures.
The world’s love often says, “I love you because of what you give me.”
God’s love says, “I love you, so I will give myself for you.”
This is the love we see in Jesus. A love that doesn’t fade with feelings, doesn’t walk away when it’s inconvenient, and doesn’t keep score.
Today, remember: real love isn’t just a feeling to chase. It’s a life to live, shaped by the heart of the One who is love itself.
