Nest check, after 7 days of high humidity we had a break in the weather and my first priority was to check my martin nests. I had only one really bad nest, I found 4 dead and there are other babies missing, one martin has fledged, its nest mates probably did later in the day too. Results are 48 nests all eggs that are going to hatch have, 175 very fat and healthy looking young, 3 nests will fledge in the next day or two, and I have 2 nests with young at a week old. Most of the babies are in the 18-20 day range. Robert took lots of photos while I did the housekeeping. I hope you will enjoy the photos. Robert tells me he never saw so many dragonflies as the martins brought in.

We are expecting a rainy weekend. I thought I would se if the martins remembered about food, so I filled the B&B with egg and they took right to it.
